Oh those lovely lawsuits

Aya reached out to slap her alarm clock and pulled the covers over her head. She really didn't want to get out of bed today. The very idea of going into the courtroom scared her. Yes, she'd have to get over that eventually, but suing...suing just gave her the creeps. It felt like things were out of hand. Out of control.

She hated that feeling.

That meant she wanted to stay in bed. Sadly, she could smell coffee. And the snooze button wasn't where it was suppose to be...in fact, her alarm wasn't where it was suppose to be. "The hell?" she muttered from within the blankets.

"I'm not that far away Dilan." she responded quietly "I made sure of that. How bad is it?" she shifted enough bags to free an arm and slip it around Dilan's waist.

He takes a deep breath and says, "I'll be okay. Promise."

[mitochondriaaya]

"That's not an answer." she grimaced, then looked up at him sternly. She would tickle him! She would, bags or no!

"I know monkey. home?"

[mitochondriaaya]

"Yes, home." she sighed "I'm going to tickle you you know."

[sliceitwithwind]

He laughs softly. "I know."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Doomed man walking." she tried to sound ominous as they wove down the sidewalk. "Utterly"

[sliceitwithwind]

"Yes, yes. At least until I dangle you!"

[mitochondriaaya]

"Well, then I get to work on my sit-ups." she found herself grinning again "And you're not going to leave me dangling until I pass out or anything so I don't feel that threatened."

[sliceitwithwind]

"Of course not. Just until you promise to stop tickling me." he says with another smile.

[mitochondriaaya]

"Has that ever worked?" more than temporarily? "I"m just as stubborn as you guys!"

[sliceitwithwind]

"...I live in hope."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Aren't scientists suppose to learn eventually from repeated trials?" she teased as her apartment came back into view.

[sliceitwithwind]

"I am also a brother!" Dilan snorts, "Seriously, Ayay."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Seriously?" she blinked and paused, foot coming back down to rest on the pavement instead of stepping forward "Seriously seriously?"

[sliceitwithwind]

"I'm scared of hurting you." Dilan admits, "That you're going to tickle me wrong and I'll break your nose or arm or something."

[mitochondriaaya]

"...seriously." she blinked for a few minutes, just trying to think that through "Okay. You know I'm a lot tougher than I look." she pointed out...or rather, confirmed.

"You can still play you know. Yes, you're strong now, very strong, but we'll all be okay."

[sliceitwithwind]

"Yes, but look at earlier." he says quietly, "Three of you, and I could have stood like that for hours."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Yes" she agreed. She hadn't been scared though, just startled as her worldview tilted a bit! "It will be alright. You can be trusted. You are trustworthy." she reached up with that one free hand to ruffle his beard.

"And, you know, your reaction to tickling is curling up and rolling."

He shrugs, "I'm not comfortable yet."

[mitochondriaaya]

"You will be." she promised him with a grin. "Eventually. Then I'll tickle you okay?"

[sliceitwithwind]

"Sure, princess." he says, giving her a bag-laden hug.

[mitochondriaaya]

"Just don't growl too bad if I forget sometimes." because, really, she was sixteen. She wasn't perfect. She was happy to get another hug out of him though. "Not a princess." she muttered into his chest.

"If you get noodle sauce on my dress you're scrubbing it."

"I won't, Aya. Promise." he says, smiling at her, "And you're my princess. So deal."

He doesn't bother responding to the noodle sauce comment. He'll be doing all of her clothing before he goes home. Duh.

"You're lucky I love you, otherwise I'd kill you for the 'princess' thing." she was tiny but she had her personal pride to think about! Besides, that just wasn't her role.

Sometimes she actually did her own laundry.
