Oh those lovely lawsuits

Aya reached out to slap her alarm clock and pulled the covers over her head. She really didn't want to get out of bed today. The very idea of going into the courtroom scared her. Yes, she'd have to get over that eventually, but suing...suing just gave her the creeps. It felt like things were out of hand. Out of control.

She hated that feeling.

That meant she wanted to stay in bed. Sadly, she could smell coffee. And the snooze button wasn't where it was suppose to be...in fact, her alarm wasn't where it was suppose to be. "The hell?" she muttered from within the blankets.

"...seriously." she blinked for a few minutes, just trying to think that through "Okay. You know I'm a lot tougher than I look." she pointed out...or rather, confirmed.

"You can still play you know. Yes, you're strong now, very strong, but we'll all be okay."

"Yes, but look at earlier." he says quietly, "Three of you, and I could have stood like that for hours."

"Yes" she agreed. She hadn't been scared though, just startled as her worldview tilted a bit! "It will be alright. You can be trusted. You are trustworthy." she reached up with that one free hand to ruffle his beard.

"And, you know, your reaction to tickling is curling up and rolling."

He shrugs, "I'm not comfortable yet."

"You will be." she promised him with a grin. "Eventually. Then I'll tickle you okay?"

[sliceitwithwind]

"Sure, princess." he says, giving her a bag-laden hug.

[mitochondriaaya]

"Just don't growl too bad if I forget sometimes." because, really, she was sixteen. She wasn't perfect. She was happy to get another hug out of him though. "Not a princess." she muttered into his chest.

"If you get noodle sauce on my dress you're scrubbing it."

"I won't, Aya. Promise." he says, smiling at her, "And you're my princess. So deal."

He doesn't bother responding to the noodle sauce comment. He'll be doing all of her clothing before he goes home. Duh.

"You're lucky I love you, otherwise I'd kill you for the 'princess' thing." she was tiny but she had her personal pride to think about! Besides, that just wasn't her role.

Sometimes she actually did her own laundry.

"Non-princesses don't get new costumes for the Moogle." Dilan says smugly. Even if Braig was usually the princess.

Yeah, when he's not around.

[mitochondriaaya]

"Geez, I already said I love you therefor you live. Just don't let it get out alright?" she huffed and tugged him back into motion.

He grins at her and keeps moving, "Deal. I finally found someone who could make plate for the Moogle. It's lined so it won't rip the fur."

[mitochondriaaya]

"If you were anyone else I'd wonder about the lengths you go to dress up my plush toy." she teased "That said? Earth and Space Dilan, that's awesome."

[sliceitwithwind]

"If I were anyone else, you wouldn't get costumes." he says, laughing back.

[mitochondriaaya]

"Sure I would, it would just take a lot more effort on my part." she countered saucily. "Why is Braig at the door glaring at us?" the door to the building no less!

"...I have no idea." Dilan waves a little, getting an arm-cross and a tapped foot in return.





"But I think we fucked up."

"How?!" she yelped, edging closer to Dilan's side "We went to get food! Just food!" but Braig had a bad glare. A very bad glare.

"Crap"

"The cops showed up. Something about a thug chasing a kid through the street." Braig says in a clipped voice.








Dilan meeps and looks suitably abashed.

Aya flushed, half in embarrassment and half in anger "I should have changed..." at least put on some jeans and her college hoodie maybe? "We didn't mean it! Do we have to go make statements?!"

[sliceitwithwind]

"No, I cleared it up. I gave them a hundred bucks for the disturbing the peace fine, promised it would never happen again, and am so making you brush my hair all night." He points at Aya, "And you are going to make snacks without complaining. All night."

Dilan nods and inches in to dish up food.

"Yes sir" Aya replied with a grateful, agreeing nod. She wrapped her arm around Braig's waist this time, dragging him inside and up to the apartment so they could all eat. "Just brushing your hair?" she was getting of light!

"You've had a rough day." he says, hugging her back and sitting on the couch while Dilan gets the food set up.

She bent to kiss his forehead after passing her bags to Dilan, then ran back to fetch a brush. This way she'd have it at hand once they were done eating! "Well...it started rough." she admitted when she came back. "It's getting better."

[sliceitwithwind]

"Yeah, but you get light for one screw up." he says, shifting until he's got himself comfortable.

Dilan brings the food out and sets it out to look pretty. He does that.

"That and Dilan cooks better." she grinned and sat on the floor leaning against Braig's legs. She'd sit up on the couch after eating! "Oh...wait. movies!" yes, she was popping back up and picking a box blindly.
