One of the disadvantages of a long term under cover operation was...falling out of physical peak. Darlene's laughable excursions to the gym prevented even decent weight runs for Aya and that meant she had to improvise. Sparring with Braig helped, a great deal, he was an excellent combatant, but no one should be expected to be a sole source of training for anyone.

It was exhausting to be frank, and they couldn't afford that level of fatigue when Kyle could stop by at any moment. And Dilan simply wasn't in her weight class at all, he couldn't help, as much as she'd be willing to try some days.

That meant...she started taking over the livingroom four days out of seven. Taking over and being grateful she was short enough that a full leg extension above her head didn't brush the ceiling. Kyle couldn't complain if he caught her dancing after all. Darlene liked dancing, and it was no stretch to believe she'd rock out at home if she couldn't justify a club outing.

It was absurdly easy to drop from actual dance poses and movements to club dance poses when a knock sounded. She wouldn't be up to competition level when this mission was through but she would be fit. And the boys were welcome to watch or join as long as they didn't stop her.

They all had their sanity maintenance needs after all.

"No, no, if you're okay with being ogled I am more than happy to continue doing so." he said with a wry smile, "It's not like Braig doesn't know, and agree, how incredibly hot you are."

Okay, now she was blushing. Kind of a lot...but she wasn't going to change her intended routine in the least if he was alright with it. "I'm alright with being ogled by you, and probably Braig. I am never, ever moving like this in front of Kyle though."

"No, no. We'd have to kill him if you did." Dilan agreed seriously, "Braig and I will never, ever touch you without permission."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Wait, waaaait, are you telling me all I have to do to get Kyle removed from the equation is belly dance at him? Why didn't you tell me sooner?!" she teased, grinning. "I know though, I don't think I've ever met a pair of men more trustworthy."

Dilan half-grinned at her, "Ouch, damned with faint praise." Trustworthy? He'd really rather have had her acknowledge the implicit desire there.

"Damned?" She paused, blinking at him and trying to figure out what she'd done now. "I wouldn't damn you, ever. Trustworthy is very, very high praise and one of the best qualities I can think of for men I'd allow to touch me."

"Don't worry about it, Aya." Dilan said with a small smile, "I have apparently lost the ability to gently hit on women."

[mitochondriaaya]

"I like you a great deal. More than that I trust you. If you want to hit on me...go ahead. I think I'd enjoy it." She probably would! And she was going to slide back into her exercises now that she was less worried about what had upset him!

Dilan tilted his head, "I was trying to." he said plaintively.

Shocked freezing once more! "I...thought you were just bemused by being up close to belly dancing! Sorry!"

"No, no. It's fine. My ego is not like Braig's."

[mitochondriaaya]

She felt like an oblivious idiot now. Yep. What now? Flail! "Here, stand up, do you want to learn? Don't need high ceilings to do belly dance..."

"Nah, I'm good with watching." Dilan said, firmly, "I really don't think standing up is a good idea right now."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Alright, but if you ever want to learn just tell me?" She poked his nose gently and then started once more, determined to finish her exercises. "I think with an already bendy spine, sir, you'll be an amazing belly dancer."

"I will." Dilan promised, "But right now...well. Yeah." He hefted Sheeva up and arranged her in his lap to be a little less obviously interested in Aya.

"...You know that's why Braig calls you L-T, right? Because he's so attracted to you."

[mitochondriaaya]

"...no. I hadn't thought of that," she admitted quietly. "I kinda thought he was...I don't know. It kind of hurt a little? A little. No one I know thinks of me as a rank and that's..." yeah. Bonus point for not freezing again though?

"It reminds him that you're out of reach right now." Dilan said, petting Sheeva gently, "He's your superior and can't let personal feelings mess him upp."

Sheeva was...adoring the lap dog bit! SHE WAS A LAP DOG HEEEEEEEEE!

"Oh...I'll try to remember that next time." Because it really did hurt some whenever she heard it. "What am I going to do with the pair of you when this is over?" she asked it because she was curious to see what he'd say really.

"Go to the opera with him and figure out if you want to hit on us?" Dilan offered cheerfully, "At the very least, be our friend."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Good plan," Aya noted. "I'll start figuring that out now..." but the idea of hitting on them was obviously tempting if her voice was anything to go by! "And friend I can certainly promise."

[sliceitwithwind]

"I can live with friend." Dilan assured her, rubbing Sheeva's belly happily, "I like you a lot."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Friend you can ogle," Aya allowed. "And I may ogle in kind when we get to go dancing again as ourselves. I like you a lot too Dilan. I'm glad you guys picked my file on your search for a partner."

Sheeva was the REAL WINNER in this situation. Yep. BELLY RUBS IN A LAP!

"Well, to be honest, I ogle all my friends except the ones who are made uncomfortable by it." Dilan said, "Most of 'em are pretty good with it."

Sheeva got all the belly rubs, she did.

"Part of a you thing or part of a katzu watch things, thing?" Aya asked, curious. "And you don't mind being ogled back right?" He'd have said so hopefully!

"That is a me thing." Dilan admitted, "I really, really like people's bodies even if I'm not going to be sexing them up. I'm also a little vain. Not like Braig is vain, but vain."
