Who" The twins, a cult, and anyone.
When: A few days after midterms.
What: Religious studies get a touch out of hand.

Life at Kaos U was never boring, no, far from. Their pop quizzes were 'something blew up in X hall' more than anything else. Today was Robotics over in the Farley building. Tat had an extra bit of urgency because they knew someone over there.

Thankfully Pierce was alright, angry that the idiot in the class had caused an explosion, and burned but alive. He knew to come to them instead of any of the other med students, which was best. Everyone had their pet projects after all...

...and who knew how Dilan's modifications would handle some of those pet projects?

Still Pierce got his bandages and sucker just to be amusing. He didn't think anything else of it until he was sitting down at dinner, blinking, "where are the girls?" That was a valid question, right?

The explosion had been before lunch, they should have been home by now certainly? Unless they'd planned library time (slots for that could be just as cutthroat). "They're not on call tonight, right?" at the college clinic?

"Yes, the girls still have weapons they don't carry daily there as well as the security systems, they don't need people to sit on them, do they?"

"No sir!" both girls chirped obediently.

"I wouldn't sit on them." Dilan said, wounded, "That would break their bones."

"It's an expression, dude." then, to the others, "Not one that we used at home because he's Katzu."

"And very literal." Dilan admitted.

"Point, I would not ask you to, Braig or Pierce though, yes, literally at need. Sometimes they're stubborn. Like everyone else I know." He wasn't joking?

"Nevada!" Maya growled.

Braig just laughed, and shook his head, "Yeah, but we'd refuse." he informed Nevada, "They're med students and know where we sleep."

"They're med students secondary, firstly they are members of my company and understand if I tell people to sit on them there will be consequences if they strike out at such." Severe consequences.

"Yeah yeah Nevada we know."

"Yup, staying out of that conversation." Braig decided out loud. Dilan nodded and headed to start testing out the samples that he got so that he could check on them.

"Smart men," Nevada noted. "I'll see you soon girls, rest and recover, no arguing."

"Yes sir." They expected the hang up, Nevada rarely said goodbye, so Aya flopped sideways on her sister and grumbled, "movie night I guess."

"Movies are a great idea." Braig agreed, flipping through things, "Documentaries or musicals? Or something else?" Every movie in there was Dilan safe. Either because it didn't have anything to spark those kinds of ideas or because someone had already yelled 'no!' all the way through it.

"The space pirates musical one?" Maya asked hopefully. It was a fun adaptation and cheesy sets!

"Gonna have music stuck in my heeeaaaad," Aya chuckled hoarsely as she gave up and slumped in her sisters lap. "Blankets.:

"Space pirates musical it is." Braig agreed, tossing the movie in and sprawling on Dilan's chair. He'd claim the bigger man's lap when Dilan got back from the lab.

Neither of the girls were going to make it through the whole musical honestly. Sleep was their friend after things like this!

Pierce and Sheeva got home before too long though, Pierce whistling cheerfully and the dog with a big stick. It had probably been a staff for a preacher or something given the intricate detailing but now it was a big prize stick! "Soooo I passed just about everything in my defensive programming courses tonight," he grinned.

"Only tonight?" Braig asked, even as Dilan came wandering up. He had some tests that were going to take a while, but staring at them wouldn't make it go any faster. "How so?"

"Apparently things related to passing are if you defeat another class mate instead of, you know, making it impossible for outside contractors to hack student work and stuff," he snorted. "Which it does not say in the syllabus but hey..."

"It's KHAOS." Braig finished Pierce's statement, nodding sagely. "Yeah, lots of things aren't in the syllabus."

Dilan said, in a considering tone, "I have a couple of rivals who keep their information on computer. Do you want to hack them?" He didn't care either way, he knew he was the best.

"Are they in computer courses?" he grinned. Hell, he'd do it for fun honestly, it's just a matter of it would count in class work as well!

There was an atonal hum for a minute, then Dilan offered a name. Just one, but there wasn't usually a lot of cross-over at the level the men were working at.

"Notttted~" Pierce sang happily. "That'll be fun for the offensive grade yes!"

"Have fun, Pierce, but don't forget to eat. You don't want me to make it so you photosynthesize." Which he would do, if he felt he had to, in order to keep his best friend healthy.

"Dude I bet that would be distracting as fuck," he blinked. "I mean, the need to lay out in the sun all day, distracted from typing..." that would just be a bad choice all around!

"Dinner's cooking right?"

"Dinner is cooking. Beef stew." Dilan agreed, "It wouldn't be only photosynthesis, it would be an addition so that you'd stay healthy as long as your computers were in a place your skin could get light. I don't think I'd let you be distracted from your work. That would be being a bad friend."

Braig looked slightly proud that Dilan recognized it would be bad friendship.

"It'd still be distracting, besides, what if goat bits wanted to eat plant skin??" That would get really bad! "But thank you anyway, i'll eat, I'll even set a timer for...how long?"

"Braig will come and get you."

"...Guess I will." Braig agreed, contently. "I'll also wake the girls up when it's time." By calling their cellphones. It was one of the safer ways to wake up people who went to KHAOS.

"Or that I guess," he agreed easily. "Sheeva's keeping her stick, she likes it. I'll increase the floor bots to handle stick bits."

"Sounds good to me." Braig agreed, ruffling Sheeva's ears and flopping down. "Let me fill you in, okay?" he started a rundown of what had happened since they left Pierce to play with satellites.

He whistled softly, amused, "so girls are shutins for now, scary mercs who feed us will be here soon to be angry at other people and give gifts?
