Aya stormed through the door and screamed in rage, kicking her school bag ahead of her because it was safe to kick. Seriously, her backpack wouldn't explode.

"Calm down!" Maya sighed, closing the door behind her sister. "We fixed it. And if you kick that bag anymore you'll have to shopping for a new one. You hate shopping."

"DON'T BE REASONABLE AT ME!"

"OKAY FINE!" Maya grumped and booted her sister's bag back at her. "So what do we do?"

"...COOKIES."

Maya nodded, toeing her shoes off before tackling her sister. "Like you could make cookies in this state!"

"COULD TOO!"

It was a sibling thing okay?

"Go! MOVE MOVE MOVE MAYA! Grab the bags!" Aya laughed, pounding through the door to the house with barely a pause to identify for security.

"I'm moving! I am! You...keep watch."

Aya nodded and spun once her sister was past, going to a knee to check her shoe laces and...watching the route behind them. They'd gotten the weird 'being followed' vibe again so, a bit of watching while Maya loaded up. "Anyone home?" she called while waiting, getting an excited bark from Sheeva.

Yes, Sheeva was a good dog.

Sometimes a man simply had to check in on his girls. They'd run a mission in Canada and the college was ENTIRELY on the way back after all...and the team wanted to see the girls too and...

...and Nevada couldn't really shake their last letter from his head. The girls were living with some unvetted young men and that could prove problematic. The helicopter set down in on the school pad (usually used for medivac units) and Nevada swung to the ground, waving off one of the school aides coming out to greet him,

He had an address. And a mission.

And after a quick run, well, a door to knock on. The pair of mercs that had followed him chuckled at the politeness but hey, it never hurt right?

Two sets of aqua eyes looked up at the gates of KAOS U with quiet trepidation. Behind them their uncle laid large, warm hands on their shoulders and chuckled. "I know it looks impressive but don't let the gates fool you. The campus is pure insanity but there's none better for what you have in mind."

They tilted their heads, listening, but still. "We know, still..."

"Get your gear, you'll need it. Death rate here is very high for the unprepared and never go out of the house without wearing your armor. Both of you. And eat MRE's when possible, they're harder to tamper with. I'll send some each month." Nevada was trying not to worry. Trying hard. He knew his girls could handle it but...if the girls got hurt he was going to raze the college to the ground, no matter he'd graduated from it himself.

"We'll be alright." Aya smiled up at Nevada and Maya swayed sideways so they could all hug. "We'll call every week, you know we'll be careful."

"Yeah, I know. Gear and go girl before I change my mind."

With a giggle the twins started grabbing packs from the truck and both wiggled to settle their vests better. Yes, they could do this, and they were probably heading into college better armed than most kids, even if they were starting at sixteen. The both gave their uncle a kiss on the cheek then the two girls, moving in smooth syncopation, started through the gates and toward the main hall where there was a banner reading "Welcome Freshmen!'.
