Aya cracked an eye open and peered blearily up at the ceiling. Still daylight, still boiling outside...and she was still awake. Damn. The bungalow was catching a nice breeze, the roof gave her shade, but today had dawned hot and gotten hotter. She was seriously considering switching over to nocturnal for a day or two...

...wouldn't be too hard she hadn't really been sleeping at night anyway. "Hey," she murmured against Dilan's chest. He was a great pillow and she was touched that he'd stayed sprawled with her when Braig felt like catching a few waves. Truly touched. That sunlight out there was a big temptation for her kitten! "We have to find Braig a ring."

Dilan pretended to think for a while, "Belly dance." he finally said.

She blinked down at him for a moment, then tilted her head back and laughed. Belly dance indeed. "Are you saying no belly dance here?"

"Mmmm. Save it." he said after a minute, "Something to anticipate."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Alright," she laid her palms flat on his belly and bent to kiss his chest. "But only because you asked nicely and all."

Dilan purred and petted her back when she did that. "Mmmmmmm. Love you, Aya Brea."

[mitochondriaaya]

Well, since he was going to purr for her she was totally doing that again! "And you, Dilan soon-to-be-Brea. Sure you can handle a last name?"

[sliceitwithwind]

"MMmmm. Dilan Brea of Lenna Clan." he said, "I think I can get used to it."

[mitochondriaaya]

"And we'll be married to a founder," Hmmm, married to a clan at all. Not something she'd really foreseen. Excuse her as she distracted herself by licking along his chest slowly. It was a complicated and thought intensive teasing!

Dilan had something to say. He did. It didn't seem very important, though, when compared to flopping back on the bed and just feeling what she was doing.

Frankly this was one of the other bonuses to not waking up alone anymore; moods could be followed to their fun and logical conclusions! As opposed to waking up and dialing a Braig for dirty phone calls. He was still a few calls up on her come to think of it...

Dilan was more than willing to follow through with Aya's mood, yes. Mmm.

Of all things it was her stomach that rumbled a bit later, drawing a sated sigh from her. "Mmmm, feed me?" It would mean one or the other of them moving though and she was comfy.

And still dodging the boiling sun out there.

"Only if you let go." Dilan said, shifting his head to move the dreadlocks in her hand.

[mitochondriaaya]

"Mrrrph." Grumble. "Fine. I'll walk with you." She didn't want to let go!

[sliceitwithwind]

"Good." Dilan said, standing up and letting her keep her handful, "What do you want to eat? Name a foodgroup."

[mitochondriaaya]

She slipped a hand around his hip and cuddled against his back shamelessly as he stood. "Protein. Think I need protein." And maybe coffee later when she wasn't so content in her cuddling!

"Steak or fish?" Those were her options right now. Mmmm. Aya cuddles.

[mitochondriaaya]

"Steak," she decided after a moment of kissing his shoulder. "Medium-rare? I'm in the mood for pink love."

"Medium-rare it is." Dilan said, washing down rapidly and then getting the things to prepare lunch for all three of them. Only right, after all!

[mitochondriaaya]

And she did her best not to impede movement? But it was nice to just lean against Dilan's back, forehead resting against his spine, and occasionally give him a kiss or three. "I'm starting to feel a little like myself again," she admitted at last.

"As opposed to what? Feeling like Cat?" it was teasing, he knew what she meant.

He just avoided talking about the labs whenever possible.

He got his shoulder bitten for that one! "Yes, the fuzzy aspect was starting to really get to me!" Dork.

Yeah.

He chortled and gasped happily at the bite. Yeah. He was a lucky man.

"Want to go bellow for Braig?"

[mitochondriaaya]

"Yeah, he loses track of time when he's on the waves," she admitted, giving him a lingering hug before reluctantly peeling herself away from his back. "Be right back lover." For given definitions of 'right back' anyway.

She was had to get lose to the water to be sure she'd be heard, which meant playing a fun game of darting between shadows cast by the surrounding trees. When she was cheerfully plastered to a truck as close as she could get she shaded her eyes and started scanning the swells for her errant fiance.

Braig was actually tromping back in from the water. "Hey, babe!" he said, waving, "What brings you out to the sun?"
