She nudged a wrapper with her foot and watched it crinkle on the side. Huh. This wasn't good. Had the boys actually spent the night here? She couldn't picture it really. It would drive Dilan nuts...

"Hey, are you a swear? I don't remember you...." the girl on the stairs looked like she'd prefer to be laying down. That wasn't a good sign. Hung over probably.

She shifted her guess to 'likely' when the girl winced away from a sunbeam that entered the door behind her. "Nope! I'm trespassing. Looking for two students, Braig and Dilan? Came to a party?"

"If you're not a sister go away," the girl waved a hand and started back up the stairs.

Right.

She held her breath until the girl was gone then went back to wandering through the common room. Ugh, wow, when they had a party here they really trashed the place huh? And there was...clothing everywhere. She counted something like a dozen shirts and three times that many shoes. Fewer pairs of shorts but she almost assumed the sheets had been togas.

College life. Charming.

Right. She checked her watch then started folding clothing and setting the room to rights. Why not? They'd left a note in case she got in early enough to attend, and since this was...far from early enough, well, best to make the morning a bit better?

She'd make breakfast.

If she found the kitchen.

Dilan was in the kitchen, with that peculiar look on his face that meant he'd reached his breaking point several hours ago and, well.

The kitchen, at least, was clean. Beyond clean. Somewhere around ooops, someone should have stopped him a while back. Which, to be fair, Braig would have done if he'd been awake instead of curled up under the table in a lump of was-up-too-long Olia with a blanket tucked around himself and Dilan's coat under his cheek.

Oh...boy. "Dilan?" she asked gently when she managed to find the kitchen and edge into the clean zone. "Hey? Gonna put down the scrub brush so I can get a hug?"

She couldn't blame Braig, once he was out, he was out, cleaning binge or no!

It took a good several minutes before he blinked and stared at his scrub brush like he'd forgotten it was there. A little bit after that he turned to look at Aya and said, in a soft and pained voice, "Aya, my hands hurt."

"I can see why kitten, c'mere? Please?" Pretty please with lizards and squirrels? "Leave the brush there and just let me see your hands okay? I'll do what I can."

He stared at the brush again, then slowly, painfully, opened his hand and dropped it on the ground. He watched it bounce and leave a trail of red on the pristine floor as though he was watching a murder victim fall.

It was going to take him a little while to come all the way back.

Yes, when he got bad it always did, didn't it? And oh Parish and Hoene that was blood. "Hands, Kitten" She didn't have much to work with here but she could make sure there weren't any cleaning chemicals lingering in his skin, and get his fingers taped up with roll she ha din her pocket for weight training later?

Hopefully.

"How long have you been awake?"

He held them out obediently and said, "'s blood on the floor." a little inanely, "I didn't sleep. It was too..." he made an abortive hand-wave, "a Braig place. Not a me place. Too loud, too messy, too many people."

The minute he held his hands out she cupped her hands around them, walking backward until she could get him to a (spotless) sink. Rinse then tape. Rinse...

...yeah. "I know. I'll get it in a moment kitten, you're done here." No more. "Can you bend your fingers for me?"

Dilan twitched his hands a little bit, and then slowly bent them into place. A small hiss of pain left his mouth and a little more self seeped back into his eyes.

"Screwed up, huh?"

"Slipped a bit," she admitted wryly, watching as his fingers moved. "It hurts right? Nothing's numb?" They could work with pain, numb meant they were going to the hospital!

"...Probably want to get checked out anyway." he offered after another moment, "Dunno what I was using."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Sounds like a plan," she admitted, moving to get his hands under running water. "I'm gonna do the baking soda trick anyway okay love? And then we're going to wake up Braig and hope he has pants on because I'm pretty sure I didn't find any his size in the livingroom."

One of the fun tricks she learned growing up with the boys? Baking soda neutralized a lot of things! And it didn't hurt Dilan like some stuff did!

"Okay." Dilan said, shuddering a little bit as he tried to shake it all off, "Never. Again."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Give me a twenty count kitten while I look for baking soda," she turned the taps on, both of them, over his hands then started digging in the cupboards. Everyone had to have baking soda, right?

Sure.

"No, and I promise not to join a sorority either. I've managed to avoid it this year, no reason to change next year."

"Thank you." Dilan murmured, counting to twenty out loud as he did so before sticking his hands under the water with a hiss. "It wouldn't be good for you."

The water, hopefully, wasn't too hot by that point. They'd learned that both taps turned full tended to balance out within ten or twenty seconds. "Here we go, not enough baking in this house." Obviously. The baking soda box was just barely enough to get a decent coat on both his hands!

"Judging by this place, yeah I'd agree. I'm a team player but there's limits!" Paste time!

The water was pretty much perfect for cleaning out battered flesh. "I shudder to think what they'd bake here, Ayay. Pot brownies, maybe? ...Huh, that could be part of why Braig zonked out so early."

She scooted up onto the counter so she could get a good angle on his hands without taking them out of the sink, then shivered. "Ew. Maybe we should make a 'no eating anything at strange parties' rule? Do you think he'd listen?"

"His stomach is a black hole." Dilan said, looking at Aya as though he thought she might have amnesia, "He eats more than I do, sometimes."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Yes, but laced food!" she waved a hand, accidentally flicking baking soda paste onto the counter. "Maybe he can pack meals when you guys get altruistic."

"Don't forget to wipe that up." Dilan said absently, "Mmmmmaybe, but don't count on it."

"I won't kitten," she promised easily. That and the floor for his peace of mind. "Going to be alright resting your wrists here until the baking soda dries out or do you want me to stay here?" Either way worked for her, it was just a matter of cleaning now or cleaning later!

"I'll be okay. Promise." there was a wry smile in his voice, and he kissed the top of her head gently.

"Hey, I worry!" She noted, bumping her forehead against his chin easily before sliding off the counter. That was what they did right? Worried about each other?

Time to....crawl under a table and shake Braig! She could take the time he was crawling back to consciousness to scrub the floor and counter! "Hey, lemur, leeeeemmmmmurrr...."
