Marathon!

Aya had trained faithfully, just like she promised (and despite her period starting a few months after that promise. Really? She didn't need that!). The weights had been added by about the second month of training and she was really, really proud of her stamina!

And the marathon they'd chosen as their first was coming up this weekend, with fund raising as done by Elcy...and yeah. "Don't tell me you have to cancel!" she said into the phone, pulling one foot up to stretch out her thighs. "Don't! I can't go and do this alone!"

"But it'll be where you live," duh. "It won't be healthy if you guys don't have a home you can stay at all the time! Home is where you're safe, and where you relax! It's your territory!"

"You're home." Braig said, "Where we'll be living will be our house."

Ehhhhh?!"A person isn't a home! And you can't come to me all the time! You guys would go nuts with traveling and lack of sleep!" IT WASN'T HEALTHY FOR THEM!

"Just accept it." Braig said, poking her nose.

"Yeah. It can't really be home without you."

"You guys are going to go crazy!" And they did just fine before Aya was there! They did! "Then I'll go crazy! And we can't get locked up together they segregate asylums!"

"We're not going to go crazy." Braig said.

Dilan snorted, "I am crazy."

[mitochondriaaya]

"You are not crazy!" Aya yelped softly. "You're brilliant and wonderful!"

"And OCD." Dilan pointed out, "Brilliant, wonderful, and OCD."

"Dude. Do we need to have the neuro-atypical talk again?"

"OCD is not crazy!" Yes, it was absolutely necessary to raspberry Dilan's stomach now! MWAHAHAHA!

"ACK!" Dilan flailed, just like he would have when he was a child. The problem being, of course, that he weighed over three hundred and fifty pounds...and the couch could not take the three of them sitting on it and Dilan flailing.

"Oh, man!" Braig said, "Mom loves this couch...she's going to kill us."

Eh, the couch was toast. "My fault! My allowance!" She had to get that out before falling into tickling Dilan properly! Why not? The damage was done, MOVING ON!

Dilan flailed even worse, trying not to kick so that he didn't break anything else. His head pounded into the pillows so hard that Braig grunted every time.

"Yep, still Dilan!" Aya laughed and stopped once she noticed Braig grunting. She ended up sitting on Dilan's chest and holding up her arms in classic muscle pose. "No one outgrows being ticklish! NO ONE!"

"AUUUGH!" Dilan panted and flopped. Braig looked up, "...Time to explain..."

"What happened to my couch?" Elcy asked.

Aya dropped her muscle pose but otherwise didn't move! "My fault! I raspberried Dilan because he was being a dork and then I tickled him because it was broken anyway? I'm sorry! Should I look up new couches or restorationists?" Because it was her fault and she would not let anyone else say otherwise!

Elcy sighed, but...truth be told, she'd expected something of the sort. "New couches, Aya. Look for something from the South. I'm not going to make you pay for it." Just. Be a little sad.

"No, mom, we'll pay for it!" Dilan said, "We broke it."

"I'll pay for it I broke it!" Aya insisted, laying both her hands over Dilan's mouth. "I'll talk to Sannish! He'll know good places to look!"

"We will." Dilan said, through her fingers. Then he started licking her. A lot.

Braig sighed, "We all will, Aya. I should've told you not to do that."

"GYAAAHHHHH!" Compulsively wiping her hand son Dilan's shirt? Yep! "We'll see! Dilan can test stuff while we're in the territories? And Braig can style check it! We'll bring it back with us!"

"That will be fine." Elcy said, with another sigh, "Take that to the dump and get some of the spare chairs from the attic."

"Yes, mom." Dilan and Braig chimed.

[mitochondriaaya]

"We can turn the cushions into pillows for the new couch if you want?" Aya offered, looking the pieces over. "Or make foot stools!" There was enough wood and cushion to do that!

"If you want to do that, put it in the garage until you're done with it."

"I'll get it out there, mom."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Workshop project!" Aya laughed and started stacking things in a pile to be transported. It was a soft laugh though, in deference to Elcy being upset. "We didn't mean to Elcy. I"m sorry."

"I know you didn't, dear." Elcy admitted, "Honestly I haven't lost nearly as much furniture as I expected given the three of you."

"We love you, mom."

"...we're not gone yet." Aya pointed out. Now? Now she was going to worry! "What shouldn't we sit on?!"
