Life at Kaos U was never boring, no, far from. Their pop quizzes were 'something blew up in X hall' more than anything else. Today was Robotics over in the Farley building. Tat had an extra bit of urgency because they knew someone over there.

Thankfully Pierce was alright, angry that the idiot in the class had caused an explosion, and burned but alive. He knew to come to them instead of any of the other med students, which was best. Everyone had their pet projects after all...

...and who knew how Dilan's modifications would handle some of those pet projects?

Still Pierce got his bandages and sucker just to be amusing. He didn't think anything else of it until he was sitting down at dinner, blinking, "where are the girls?" That was a valid question, right?

The explosion had been before lunch, they should have been home by now certainly? Unless they'd planned library time (slots for that could be just as cutthroat). "They're not on call tonight, right?" at the college clinic?

Well, there was panic, and further back some people in non-robes poking their head out a door? "Does this mean we don't get the collab credit? I'm not going through initiation if this isn't going to count..." IT WAS A SENSIBLE QUESTION GIVEN THE CIRCUMSTANCES!

"It doesn't matter. I am going to kill all of you." Dilan explained to the questions, in the simple, sweet voice he used when he was stating a fact he didn't see the point in explaining.

"I might kill some of them." Braig said, a bit put out, as he head-shot one of the people poking their head out. "They went after the girls. I like the girls."

Well, cue initiates panicking and hoping the 'ceremony room' they'd been crammed into had another exit yes...

Aya coughed and reached out to take Braig's hand, "d...they've been lock...locked in there for days." Nothing to do with them?

"Fine." Braig said, grumbling, "Dilan, don't kill them if they walk out of here with their hands locked behind their necks. Walk. A nice, slow walk." Then, after a moment, "Naked, so I know they don't have any weapons. Strip and go." The last to the initiates, although the hand Aya took wrapped around hers and gave a reassuring squeeze.

"...I don't promise not to kill them later if they turn out to have been participants." Dilan said, putting his ear against Maya's chest to listen to her heart beat. He hadn't stopped long enough to get anything other than the antihistamines. He also wasn't thinking about breasts until it was too late to do anything other than think soft.

Cue OBEDIENT STRIPPING! Granted, there probably wasn't a soul left at KAOS these days that had any body modesty. How could they when variations on naked happened so often?

"...okay," Aya Agreed, doubling forward to cough some more. Ick.

Maya jerked in shock, waking up with a weight on her chest was NOT okay and she was going for a weapon before she realized it was Dilan? Oops? "Sorry..." Granted, wasn't much left for her to grab, gear wise. Where the HEELL was their gear?

Braig watched them leave, then moved to support Aya while she coughed.

Dilan settled back, unhurried, when he was sure Maya was okay, "That's fine, Maya. We need you to get more hand-to-hand, though. Going for a weapon is good, but you need to be ready to attack without one from a dead sleep too." It...wasn't like she was likely to be able to hurt him even with hand-to-hand, after all. He was a sturdy mutant, he was. "How's your breathing? Can you focus?"

"Joints are all goo," Maya grumbled, why'd she'd gone for a weapon, her limbs weren't working well enough for most the hand to hand she had training in? "Where's my gear. What am I wearing?"

Aya felt like she was losing a lung honestly but eventually she spat to the side and scrubbed a hand over her face. Bleh. "Cold...robes. White, heavy. Sammite?"

"I don't know where your gear is. You need new anyway." Braig informed both girls while Dilan contemplated how he was going to carry them both out of there. Braig filled them in, succinctly, ending with, "And then you both started to wake up."

Dilan frowned a bit, "I can carry both of you, but you might not like that. It'd be one per arm." Like babies.

"We'll call Nevada," Maya sighed. "I liked that gear." Grump. Wait, it was weird to get carried that way? She was going to space out a touch trying to figure out why it'd be a problem?

"I can walk, less jelly joints for me, more coughing," Aya admitted. "If that helps?"

"It helps." Dilan said, picking Maya up bridal style and starting for the outside with long, loping strides, "Lets get you back home where you can take a better look at yourselves." With their good medical gear, he meant.

"You can lean on me if you need to." Braig said, without his usual teasing.

Limp and gooey, yes, that was Maya right now. which sucked, a lot. "Okay, good, home is nice." She liked home.

Still, coming up top side even she blinked to see Pierce sitting in a square of green grass that was surrounded by slagged earth. What?

"Might need to," Aya admitted, every few feet or so but hey.

"Pierce? We got the girls. What happened to the ground?" Where was the dog?! Dilan didn't actually ask about the dog. He figured that Pierce would tell him out of pure self-preservation.

"Oh, their hacker had a satellite, now I have another satellite in my collection," he noted, a touch distracted. "Dog went left to catch the guy leaving with the girl's clothes once the space lasers started."

"Oh, okay." Dilan said with a short nod, and a sharp whistle to call Sheeva back. His whistles could be heard for a very, very long distance so he didn't worry about her hearing it. "We're going to get them new gear, though. I don't trust anything that they were in when they went under." that was said almost apologetically to Maya.

"Yeah, it was more 'let's prevent a creepy shrine' than want it back I'm sure. Or I think, no idea what Sheeva thinks..." yes, he was weird when fighting other techies okay? Tended toward distracted rambling! "Oh hey look, she's not even missing any limbs!"

"Good." Dilan smiled down at the dog, "I'm going to take Maya home now. I think Braig is helping Aya walk, they said they were going to do that."

He'd meant Maya but hey, Sheeva not missing limbs was awesome too! "Okay, I'm staying put until I backslag all these systems and maybe melt their house..."

"Ok." Dilan agreed, cheerfully enough. "Melt it a lot if you do. I think they have tunnels." Then he looked down at Maya, "What do you want for dinner, Maya? I was thinking I could make burgers for all of us but Braig. He needs to have a full on vegetarian meal."

"Tunnels here, dunno if techie has tunnels at their house though, bad luck if he's accessing from a dorm," Pierce hummed cheerfully, fingers flying on the keyboard. "We need a name for the new satellite!"

Maya grumbled and turned her face into Dilan's shoulder, the light hurt, yay instant killer headache, "maybe soup...chewing would probably suck."

"Call it 'Righteous Indignation'." Braig suggested as he and Aya came up from below.

"Soup? Okay. Minestrone, beef, or chicken?"

"Dude, nice, it'll be a great Satellite," Pierce grinned. "Hey she's got all her limbs too, bonus!"

"Fuck you too Pierce," Aya snorted hoarsely. "Takes a bit to get our limbs."

"Also a bonus!" he laughed.

"Beef. Lots of beef. Just soft?" Maya requested.

"Lots of soft beef." Dilan agreed, "I can do that. How soft? Tender, or completely fallen apart?"

"Tender, not pot roast fall off fork I think, protein need should kick in hard once we get something in us?" Maya admitted. Plus fallen apart tended to take longer!

"Okay." Dilan agreed, smiling down at her a little. It was more fang-filled than usual, he was riding the hunting high, but it was still his rather sweet smile. "Anything you want, Maya."

"Full lab workup of what they dropped everyone in the library with to make a broad spectrum resistance booster, but right now will help," Maya teased. "Brain still works!"

"Good, I'd flounder if we were down a brain!" Aya noted from behind.
