This is...Halloween?

Usually bumping and screaming from the back bedroom of a young girl was a sign for worry. In this case? well, it was common place. It probably would inspire some worry, if anyone besides the room residents were around. Luckily (commonly) the three kids were alone in the house. "BRAIG YOU'RE PULLING! THAT'S ATTACHED!!"

She'd woken up at her usual early hour, but the boys had already been standing at her door by the time she'd pulled it open to go find them. Standing at her door and grinning, which was never a good sign.

And they had bags.

Of stuff.

She hadn't gotten a good look at any of it as they all bustled back to her room for pre-Halloween prep. All she knew at the moment, in fact, was that Braig was still grinning. And Dilan was...laughing? She wasn't sure what those noises behind her were, and she couldn't turn around with Braig's hands in her hair and something cool and wet dripping onto her ears. "IF MY HAIR TURNS GREEN I WILL KICK YOU BOTH!"

"It's gonna be black!" Dilan protests, "And we got you tanner, and fake ear tips! We're gonna go as those three people from the soap opera! We got you a nice dress, too, and suits for us!"

She drew a deep breath and held it for a few moments as she contemplated yelling at them again. But, well..."Fine." she grumped, going from wiggly to still in a heartbeat. "Black is okay. Do I always have to have a wine glass in my hand? She always does, and I bet what she drinks is nasty cause it's a creepy color."

"It's kiwi juice, and if you don't want to drink it I will." Dilan insists, "But you don't have to carry it around all the time. Just hold it and pose at the houses, then I'll drink it after the door closes."

"You are going to get sooooo messed up" she giggled. Juice of any kind was fun to give Dilan! "They make the right kind of suites in your sizes? Or are they costume suites?" she asked curiously.

"Real suits. We're gonna be wearing them to Braig's mom and dad's formal things." Dilan grins back at her and starts fussing with Braig's hair while Braig finishes her to get it looking right.

"Adult parties are boring." Aya rolled her eyes, but hey, at least she wasn't going to end up stuck there with them! She felt the last hair clip slide home, then tilted her head as Braig stepped away "Well darlings?" it...sounded hilarious in her tiny little girl soprano.

"Yeah, but they usually have fruit and I can swipe some." Dilan points out. Braig grins, "Smashing, my dear. Smashing."

"And they still let you go?" she dropped the weird speech to gape at Dilan. "Wow..okay, the parties might be more fun that way." she couldn't help it, she ended up giggling as she slid off the chair to poke at her dress.

"Yeah. I don't think they've quite clued in." he grins and holds the dress out for her, "Let us know if you need help zipping.

"At least it's blue!" she bounced out of her room to change in the bathroom, and came trotting back a moment later unchanged. "Should we do the tan stuff first so the clothes don't get dirty?"

"Oh, hey, good idea." Dilan says, shaking the fake tan stuff, "Okay, take off your shirts and close your eyes."

"Bet it stinks" she grinned at Braig as she peeled out of her shirt. "And I have a little paintbrush if we need it!"

Worse than stinking? It was cold. It made Aya yip and dance in place.

Dilan grins while the other two freak out, "Hey! Hey! You're gonna get splotchy!"

"I'm getting goose bumpy! That's worse!" she countered, with Braig's vehement agreement. "Did you keep it in the freezer?!" she managed not to chatter the words through sheer force of indignation!

"Nnooooooooooo. I hate the cold even more than you do." Duh!

"You coulda..." she countered with a grin "It's not getting sprayed on you!!"

"EW IT TASTES BAD!"

"I'm holding the can! Eugh, quick, Braig, get her a bit of candy."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Mrrph ack!" Aya fought around the sudden candy in her mouth to reach for a bottle of water and just rinse. "Ack ack ack...isth mah tongueth tahn?" she asked, crossing her eyes to try and see.

"Not really?" Dilan offered, "Or at least I don't think so?"

"Okay, then we're good." she wandered over to look in the mirror, then came back "Gotta do the face edges and stuff...maybe we could spray it in a bowl and paint it?"

"That should work, yeah. Got a bowl?" It's kind of cool seeing people with his skin colour, even if they are just Aya and Braig.

[mitochondriaaya]

"In the kitchen!" she called, already trotting off to get one. For Aya...it really wasn't that weird to look at her arms and see darker skin. It was just really neat!

She plopped the bowl in Dilan's hands, then dug out her crayola brushes "Okay, and the ears! Do we need glue or something?"

"I don't think so." Dilan says, "We'll figure it out."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Okay!" she grinned and plunked down on the edge of the bed "Darling, my face?" she prompted with a pout.

Dilan giggles at her and starts getting all the edges.
