This is...Halloween?

Usually bumping and screaming from the back bedroom of a young girl was a sign for worry. In this case? well, it was common place. It probably would inspire some worry, if anyone besides the room residents were around. Luckily (commonly) the three kids were alone in the house. "BRAIG YOU'RE PULLING! THAT'S ATTACHED!!"

She'd woken up at her usual early hour, but the boys had already been standing at her door by the time she'd pulled it open to go find them. Standing at her door and grinning, which was never a good sign.

And they had bags.

Of stuff.

She hadn't gotten a good look at any of it as they all bustled back to her room for pre-Halloween prep. All she knew at the moment, in fact, was that Braig was still grinning. And Dilan was...laughing? She wasn't sure what those noises behind her were, and she couldn't turn around with Braig's hands in her hair and something cool and wet dripping onto her ears. "IF MY HAIR TURNS GREEN I WILL KICK YOU BOTH!"

"That hurt!" she declared from her new spot across the bed. "What did you do?! And what'd I ever do to you?!"

"Pierced your ear, then cured it!" Dilan insists, "Same thing that happened to me!"

"Yeah, the piercing part really didn't hurt yet. Don't ever that again!" she grimaced and rubbed her arms, trying to rub the last tingles of whatever out. "Ever ever."

Boys look at each other, "Okayyyyy."

[mitochondriaaya]

And she glared at them. "I mean it." she threatened crossly before giving up and inching back towards the boys. "Okay...ear tip things."

Dilan offers them out to her silently, still really confused.

[mitochondriaaya]

She studied them a minute before trying them on...but her attention wasn't on the pieces really. "What?" she asked, poking Dilan with her foot.

"That's weird, Aya. Humans don't react like that to cure magic."

[mitochondriaaya]

She rolled her eyes and poked him with her other foot. "Of course they do." she countered. After all, she was human.

"Nu uh. You're the only one to ever act like that, I know 'cause most of the people in my class were human."

[mitochondriaaya]

"But you haven't tried with everyone I bet." she pointed out "Some of them gotta be like me!"

[sliceitwithwind]

"You're weird." Dilan insists, "But that's okay. Braig's weird and I'm a freak."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Fine, I'm weird." that was cool at least! "Did I get these on right?" the ear tips were staying at least? She was totally going to find a mirror in a moment!

[sliceitwithwind]

"Yeah! It's cool, you look like my sister or something!"

[mitochondriaaya]

"Hey, that's gotta be awesome!" she laughed and slipped off the bed to go find a mirror. "I really do!" she confirmed, yelling down the hallway.

"...does this mean I can't have a last name today?"

"Do you want a last name today? You can if you want, I guess."

It's kinda cool having people who look like siblings around.

"I dunno, I don't use it much." she admitted as she came back in the room. Aya bopped up to the boys and draped her arms over their shoulders, grinning "I bet this stuff sticks! We can totally look like this at school tomorrow! That'd be great!"

Dilan grins and wraps his arm around her, "That'd be cool."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Yes!' she agreed, taking the glass Braig handed her and twirling it a bit haltingly by it's stem. "I believe this shall be the start of a wonderful week!"

....

"WAIT! Trick or treat bags!"

Dilan pulls them out of his pocket, grinning, "They fold down really small. Here we go!"

She juggling things a moment, figuring out the easiest way to carry both the bag and glass. The...still empty glass. "Hey, where's the juice? How much are we bringing? And we need shoes!"

"It's in the bag, and we're gonna wear our regular shoes so we don't get hurt feet." Dilan heads into the bag again and pulls out the juice. "Gonna put this in my bag." He grins.

[mitochondriaaya]

She snaked a hand out to pick up the juice a moment with a small 'Oof'. "Yeah, you can do that! It'll get lighter but it's heavy right now!" she admitted cheerfully. "Okay, so, we're ready to go?"

"Yup!" another chorus from the boys, "Come on, my dear!"

[mitochondriaaya]

"The door, darlings." she drawled, then hooked her arms with the boys. "Let's go make an entrance!"
